My unfurl in sun,
Your stem, a jagged thick thorn.
Rose red, open full.
Is heat this way.
Along incandescence’s path,
You’re chasing my bare back,
You catch up to me.
With roses leading the way…
You’re compelling me further,
Into the shadow’s umbra,
Where the sun hits last in the day.
You cannot wait.
Light touching all around,
Sliding down,
That part of the wall,
Where prisms form across your arms.
I feel you full in me.
Fingers stretching across,
My tone, hands holding my face,
I breathe,
Towards the end of the hall.
Original composition and photography.
